Historium is a cinematic history publication dedicated to preserving and retelling the moments, people, images, and stories that shaped human memory.
We do not see history as a collection of dates. We see a living record of ambition, tragedy, courage, invention, power, culture, and memory. From forgotten battlefields to cultural turning points, Historium brings the past back with depth, care, and emotional clarity.
Every Historium story is built across three connected layers: cinematic documentary, original soundtrack, and detailed historical writing.

Our films combine archival footage, historical photography, careful narration, animation, and sound design. Authentic visual evidence leads. When the record leaves gaps, reconstruction is used to clarify the unseen—not to decorate it.
Original music is central to each production. Through the Historium Soundtrack Library, viewers can revisit a story’s atmosphere beyond the film itself.
Every watch page connects the documentary with related soundtracks and long-form editorial work, adding context and detail that cannot fit inside a single production.
Our ambition is to build one of the world’s most respected independent history archives: serious in its research, generous in its context, and cinematic in its execution.
Leadership
Ahmet Maniş
Founder & Creative Director
Ahmet Maniş is the founder and creative director of Historium, where he leads the platform’s editorial direction, research, storytelling, and creative production.
His academic background spans Food Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Public Administration, and Political Science. But history has always been the subject that held his attention most deeply. That lifelong interest eventually became the foundation for Historium.
He created the platform to tell stories he believes deserve greater attention: stories of suffering and resilience, injustice and courage, defeat and triumph. At the heart of that mission is a desire to honor those whose lives were overlooked, whose voices were silenced, or whose experiences risk being forgotten.
For Ahmet, history is not simply a record of wars, governments, and powerful figures. It is also the memory of ordinary people—their fears, sacrifices, hopes, losses, and struggles to survive.
Historium reflects his belief that human suffering should never be treated differently because of nationality, religion, ethnicity, culture, or political identity. The tragedies experienced by people across the world deserve to be approached with the same seriousness, empathy, and respect.
His goal is to present these stories in a way that is historically responsible, emotionally meaningful, and accessible to a broad audience. Historium does not seek to sensationalize the past. It aims to preserve its weight while creating work that people will genuinely want to watch, understand, and remember.
Ahmet remains closely involved in every stage of production, from selecting subjects and researching sources to writing scripts, shaping visual concepts, directing narration and music, and overseeing the final presentation of each story.
Under his leadership, Historium is growing into an independent international history platform built on curiosity, remembrance, and a commitment to telling the human stories behind the events that shaped our world.
