Editorial purpose

Historium publishes documentaries, articles, and original soundtracks for historical education, commentary, and cultural discussion. Historical interpretation can change as new evidence becomes available.

Copyright and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, Historium's original writing, design, branding, video, and music are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Personal viewing, listening, and ordinary linking are permitted. Republishing, commercial reuse, redistribution, or licensing requires written permission, except where a track’s displayed licence expressly permits the intended use under the Historium Soundtrack License.

Membership accounts

You must provide accurate account information, verify an email address you control, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. One person may not use an account to bypass access controls or distribute member-only files. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, or the service.

Music downloads and licensing

Verified members may download soundtrack files that are marked as eligible. A download does not transfer ownership and does not create rights beyond the licence shown for that individual track.

A Historium-owned track labelled “Historium Attribution License” and “External use allowed” may be synchronized with original audiovisual and digital projects, including monetized work, when the complete required attribution is displayed. Standalone redistribution, resale, sublicensing, Content ID or authorship claims, artificial-intelligence training, and unlawful use are prohibited. The complete conditions are published in the Historium Soundtrack License.

Third-party tracks and tracks labelled “Track-specific rights” are not covered by the general Historium licence. Their identified rights holder, source licence, attribution, usage note, and external-use status control. Track-specific terms always take precedence.

Public preview streaming does not grant permission to extract, copy, or redistribute an audio file.

Third-party material

Some archival media, quotations, links, and embedded services may be owned or operated by third parties and remain subject to their respective rights and terms.

Community participation

Comments must be lawful, relevant, and respectful. Spam, harassment, hate speech, impersonation, malicious links, and unlawful content may be rejected or removed. Account access may be restricted when necessary to protect the community or service.

No professional advice

Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

Service availability

We may correct, update, move, or remove content and may change site features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms, embedded media, or external links.
