Request account deletion
You can request deletion of your Historium account and its associated personal data by email. You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app.
Send your deletion request
Write from the email address registered to your Historium account, with the subject “Historium account deletion request”. State that you want your account and its associated personal data deleted. Do not send your password.
This button opens a draft in your email app. You must send the message yourself; opening the draft does not submit a request or delete anything. If no email app opens, copy the address above into your usual email service.
What happens next
The Historium team reviews your request and verifies that you own the account before deleting it. If you no longer have access to your registered email address, contact the same address and explain the problem. Further ownership verification may be needed; never send a password.
Deletion is handled by the team, not automatically by this page. Ask for confirmation when it is complete and for details of any information that needs to be retained. Until you receive confirmation, do not assume that your account has been deleted.
Account and data covered by the request
The Historium website and Android app use the same account. A request covers that account across both, including:
- Your account profile, name, email address, stored password hash, and membership settings.
- Saved content, viewing and reading history, playback position, and reading progress associated with your account.
- Comments you submitted and their connection to your profile.
- Account verification and recovery records, remembered sign-in credentials where applicable, and account-linked music download records.
Limited records may need to be retained for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Ask the team which information, if any, is retained and why. The request does not delete independently held records in services such as Google or YouTube.
Your device and other choices
Uninstalling the Android app does not delete your Historium account. Account deletion does not remove music files you have already downloaded or necessarily clear browser cookies and site storage on your device. You can manage those separately through your device or browser settings.
