A clear attribution licence for eligible Historium-owned music, built for filmmakers, creators, educators, and digital storytellers.

Translations are provided for convenience. If a translated version is unclear or conflicts with the English text, the English source text governs.
Eligible tracks may be synchronized with original audiovisual and digital projects, including monetized work.
Use the exact track credit shown in the library and keep the Historium music link visible.
Third-party music and tracks with special terms are governed only by the rights shown on that track.
1. Which tracks this licence covers
This licence applies only to a track that the Historium Soundtrack Library labels “Historium Attribution License” and “External use allowed.” A play button, stream, member download, Historium branding, or appearance in the library does not by itself grant external-use rights.
2. What you may create
For a covered track, Historium grants you a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable licence to synchronize the music with an original audiovisual or digital project. Covered projects may be personal, educational, editorial, promotional, commercial, or monetized. For a project created within the scope of this licence and kept compliant with these terms, that permission is permanent.
You may trim, loop, fade, or mix the music only as part of that project. This permission does not transfer ownership of the composition, recording, or underlying file.
3. Required attribution
You must reproduce the complete credit displayed in the track’s licence panel in a reasonably visible description, end credit, web page, or equivalent credits area. The credit must retain the link to the Historium Soundtrack Library.

4. Uses that are not permitted
Even with attribution, you may not:
- redistribute, upload, publish, sell, or offer the music as a standalone file, soundtrack release, stock asset, sample pack, template, or music compilation;
- resell, sublicense, transfer, or make the music available for others to extract or reuse;
- register the music with Content ID or another rights-management system, or claim authorship, ownership, or exclusive rights;
- use the music, recording, stems, or derived audio to train, evaluate, fine-tune, or supply an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system;
- use the music in unlawful content or in a way that falsely suggests Historium endorses a person, product, organization, or political campaign.
5. Third-party and track-specific rights
Tracks labelled “Track-specific rights” are not licensed under the Historium Attribution License. The identified rights holder, source licence, required credit, usage note, and external-use status control. If those details do not expressly permit your intended use, you must obtain permission from the rights holder before using the track.
6. Member downloads
A verified Historium member may download an eligible file made available for that track. Download access does not expand the rights shown in its licence panel: Historium-owned tracks follow this licence when external use is enabled, while third-party tracks remain subject to their own terms.
7. Track-specific terms take priority
A track-specific notice may add conditions, narrow permissions, or grant different rights. When it conflicts with this general licence, the track-specific notice controls for that track.
8. Compliance and termination
Permission for a use that breaches these terms ends automatically. A project created within the scope of this licence and kept compliant may remain published permanently. Historium may stop offering a track for new licences when rights or availability change, but it will not arbitrarily withdraw permission from an existing compliant project.
